Meet Our Doctors

Susan L. Boyd, DDS

A native of Houston, Dr. Boyd is one of four siblings and credits her mother, who was in the medical field, for fostering her interest in helping and caring for people. After graduating from Westchester High School, Dr. Boyd attained her credentialing for dental school in Hawaii, where she also pursued marine biology and ecology. She received a BA and MS in zoology before returning to Texas to attend dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

Dr. Boyd established her private practice after completing dental school, opening her first office in West Houston in 1982 where she practiced for ten years before moving to her present location at the West Houston Medical Center. Her passion is aesthetic dentistry, because she likes making people feel better about themselves and their smiles.

Dr. Boyd is a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Association. She also is a member of the Periodontal Health Study Group, Periodontal Health Westside Study Group, and the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

She has one son in college and two older stepsons, and she enjoys spending time away from the office with husband. They share a love of the outdoors, winter and summer sports, traveling, and exercising.
